Switching to BETA to test new features and settings

The BETA channel allows you to preview changes to the CFS system before they are made live. If you’re using the CFS schemes module you can also use the beta channel to preview scheme setting changes before making them live (e.g. matrix changes, documents, etc.). This guide will walk you through the steps required to preview your site/scheme on the CFS beta channel.

Switch the website from LIVE to BETA

1. Open your site however you usually would.
2. Replace “cfsnetwork.co.uk” with “cfsbeta.co.uk” in your address bar.

You will now be using the beta system – if you are on a schemes URL you will see a “DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY” watermark over the page. If you were previously logged in to LIVE you will be asked to login again to BETA.

To go back to LIVE from BETA simply change “cfsbeta.co.uk” to “cfsnetwork.co.uk” in your address bar.

Switch the Console to BETA

1. Open the CFS Console and login to your account.
2. Click the “System” button in the header.
3. Check the “Link to beta channel” option under the beta access group.
4. Click Apply.

The Console will now automatically close – simply restart from your desktop icon, and you will now be linked to beta.
